Techniques used for these photographs are gelatin silver prints
and color prints, as well as darkroom manipulation.
These photographs although separate, share the common theme of communication.
In Parvaneh, the conversation is virtually on a
molecular level and the participants are not concerned with the viewer, although
aware of the viewer’s presence.
In The Gift, there is a very private conversation
between the soldier offering tulips and the swarm of Sphynx moths in a fighter
formation.
In Wave, the colorfully patterned hands display
their images for each other and the viewer.
